I have been to Zanzibar 3 times in total, and I could never miss the opportunity of staying at least 3 full days in Stone Town during each visit. It was bigger than a regular mattress and more... seating areas and an amazing view over the town and harbour.We loved the Zanzibari architecture and it was a gathering place for the community at the street views from the breakfast terrace, the sounds of life as people were called... restaurant on the top with good sea views.They have a very reliable driver who took care of us and brought us around, always in time and giving good recommendations best view from the roof top restaurant, tasty breakfast, the location is close and a walking distance to many destinations. Worth spending money to hire a reputable guide for a walking tour of the town - that way you can get a good idea of the layout of the town without being harassed.
