This documentary manages to crack open the case of just why Roman Polanski,who at the time was a respected director who had come over from Poland to make films in England, was discovered here in the U.S. via his hit 1968 film, 'Rosemary's Baby'. In 1977 Polanski was accused and later convicted of unlawful sexual intercourse with then a 13-year-old girl at the home of vacationing friend actor Jack Nicholson. People's opinions are strong on both sides.

Roman Polanski speaks about his eventful life story and career in conversation with Andrew Braunsberg, his former business partner, producer, and friend of many years. A lot of judicial figures are interviewed in depth regarding the court case, the very peculiar (and probably criminal) judge Rittenband, along with journalists from the time and friends of Polanski.

By the way, David Wells has admitted to lying in the documentary, and it's interesting to see if anything will really happen to Polanski now that he - 31 years after fleeing the USA - is arrested in Switzerland because of his outstanding punishment.Keep track of everything you watch; tell your friends.

Great documentary well done and directed by Marina Zenovich, it was good someone finally shed some light on the Polanski case, with actual factual interviews and highlights from the real life footage. The main character is not interviewed for this documentary, and while I feel the documentary skirts away too much from Polanski's pedophile act, his victim has since forgiven him and there are a couple of interesting facts about her mother's role in the case.
