Yeah, it doesn't stand up to current technological CG standards, not a bad thing as this is real film making. I just didn’t understand the attraction. The U.S. gets invaded by some baddies. Red Dawn is one of my favorite movies of the 80s. I was more emotionally invested and it seemed like a foretelling, a prediction.

Bought this for my Dad. Bought both versions, so that I could compare them. Another movie with teenagers fighting an invading force ok if you don't pay too much one of Patrick Swayze and Charlie Sheens early movies its not too bad I remember seeing Red Dawn in the 80s and one of the reviews stated that the story was based on a fantasy of Russian and Cuban soldiers invading the United States.
