The cottages are in the wooded area so they provide a warm feeling of calm and beauty. There was nothing organized at the lodge for spring break, the manager/owner are there to collect, not to provide a fun week for the guests. Le Genévrier est l’endroit par excellence pour un séjour à Baie-Saint-Paul, dans Charlevoix, pour la qualité de son hébergement en camping ou en chalet, la diversité de ses activités et le … but after setting up our camper i was surprised by the civility of our fellow campers around us. Bit older but very well maintained interior. Now the not so good, UNDER EQUIPPED, be warned, although they provide a kitchen and that one expects that we can cook, they are so poorly equipped that they should warn potential renters to bring the bare necessity ok kitchen equipment, they have NO knives, aside from 4 steak knives and forks, No bowls, forget the salad or mixing bowls, NO whip, NO cheese shredder, NO measuring tools, nothing that one normally uses daily if your gonna prepare breakfast lunch or dinner. It had a comfortable kitchen and living area, two bedrooms, a nice bathroom, cable TV and very good wifi. There’s a large snow slide which was fun, not to big, good enough for younger kids, ours did enjoy it. There is better accommodation in the area for the same price. the camp site was booked solid when we arrived with our reservation and i was a little hesitant about the possibility of too much noise and crowds. that said the grounds are well maintained. Wifi is also free, but signal is on and off all the time.

It's very close to the charming town of Baie-Saint-Paul, where all services were easily accessible (supermarket, restaurants, shops, etc). The electric heat was plentiful, but in the winter it's nice to have a warm bed instead of having to crank up the heat. Beds with feather pillows and linens are available.

(easy hook-up) but what surprised me was after i had backed into my spot and un-hitched truck and trailer, my camper was already level. Otherwise it was great, and they gave us fresh bath towels each day. Some units also have a fully equipped kitchen equipped with a microwave oven, a freezer and kitchenware.
